Our Workshop Sessions
Every two weeks, we open our studio doors and invite our community into the world of craftsmanship, creativity, and design. Our workshops are more than just classes — they’re immersive experiences where guests can explore the artistry behind luxury cushions, textiles, and handmade interiors in a warm and inspiring environment. From selecting fabrics to understanding pattern composition, every session is designed to spark creativity and connection.
Led by passionate makers and designers, each workshop offers a hands-on experience tailored for both beginners and design lovers alike. Guests can learn traditional techniques, discover the process behind our collections, and even create pieces of their own. Surrounded by beautiful textures, rich colours, and a welcoming atmosphere, our workshops celebrate the beauty of slow, intentional craftsmanship.
At Zorakuro, we believe home décor should tell a story — and so should the process behind it. That’s why our bi-weekly workshops are built around community, inspiration, and sharing the passion that started our brand. Whether you come to learn, create, or simply experience the world behind our cushions, every workshop is an opportunity to be part of the Zorakuro story.

Patterns are sketched in silence first.
Measurements are marked carefully in white chalk — not too fast, never rushed. One artisan aligns stripes so they meet perfectly at the edges. Another tests combinations of muted earth tones against brighter embroidered accents. In the corner of the workshop, scraps from previous collections are pinned to a mood board like memories from older seasons.
Then comes the cutting.
Large metal scissors glide through layers of fabric with a heavy rhythmic sound. Pieces are stacked in neat piles, front panels beside backing cloth, piping strips rolled carefully like ribbons. Nothing is wasted if it can still become something beautiful.
The sewing machines begin after lunch.
The workshop fills with movement and sound: the steady hum of stitching, the soft hiss of steam irons, the tapping of scissors against wooden tables. Cushion covers slowly take shape under practiced hands. Invisible zippers are sewn in with precision. Corners are turned sharply. Edges are pressed flat until every line feels clean and balanced.
But the most important part comes during filling.
A cushion can look perfect and still feel wrong.
So each one is tested by hand. Pressed once. Fluffed again. Adjusted. Filled a little more at the center or softened at the edges until it settles naturally into shape. The makers say a good cushion should feel welcoming before anyone even sits beside it.
In the evenings, finished pieces are lined together on long wooden shelves for inspection. Threads are trimmed. Fabrics are brushed clean. Labels are stitched in quietly, almost ceremonially.
No two cushions are ever completely identical.
That is the point.
Some carry tiny variations in texture. Some hold the gentle tension of hand-pulled seams. Some sit slightly fuller than others. They are not factory-perfect objects. They are workshop-made pieces meant to live in real homes, soften real spaces, and age beautifully with time.
By the time a cushion leaves the Zorakuro workshop, it has passed through many hands, many decisions, and many small acts of care invisible to most people.
And somewhere inside every finished piece remains a trace of the workshop itself:
the sound of scissors,
the warmth of ironed fabric,
the dust of cotton in afternoon light,
and the quiet belief that everyday objects should still be made slowly.
